Pressure Vessels (India) can design Shell and Tube Heat
Exchangers with the help of advanced design software's like HTRI / HTFS and
other software's for thermal as well as mechanical design. Tube sheets are
drilled using CNC / radial drilling machines. Carbide reamers are used for
excellent tube-hole finish. For every industrial heat exchanger, special
mock ups are prepared to ascertain proper percentage of expansion. Tubes are
expanded using electronic Torque Controller to ensure equal expansion in all
the tubes.

Tube-sheets are normally forged and material is low carbon steel, low
alloy steel, low temp. carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex steel, super
duplex steel, titanium clad tube sheets, inconel, monel, brass, cupronickel
etc. Tubes used in these heat exchangers are of different geometries like
plain, low finned, internally ribbed and finned, corrugated, helically
coiled or with different types of tube inserts. Tube material may vary from
carbon steel, low temp carbon steel, stainless steel (all grades) duplex
steel, copper, brass, cupronickel, titanium etc. Tube rolling is carried out
by electrical or hydraulic equipment controlled by torque controller.
Pressure Vessels (I) has excellent facilities of retubing. Old corroded or
leaking tubes are pulled out of tube sheets with the help of hydraulic
pulling machines and fresh tubes are inserted and expanded in these holes.
